The Vasco Era to release new album and tour new single 'Child Bearing Hips'

With the upcoming release of their new self-titled record on the cards, Apollo Bay's Vasco Era are set for a national tour in support of the album's first single, Child Bearing Hips.

From their beginnings playing four-hour sets in Apollo Bay pubs to their famous afternoon Falls Festival sets, Victoria's Vasco Era have gained a passionate following that continually picks up new followers on each tour. Set to release their third self-titled and fully independent record in October this year, the band are preparing to tour in support of new single 'Child Bearing Hips,' a track that finds a balance between the sound they forged on second album Lucille (a record we described as "...The Vasco Era making leaps and bounds to produce their best work to date") and a progression towards a broader pallette.

Back in our November interview of last year, frontman Sid O'Neill mused that this new record would "...be heaps different [to Lucille.] It’s gonna have rougher edges sound-wise, since Lucille had a million things happening, which was cool for what it was, but we want space." In 'Child Bearing Hips,' (which you can stream above) this move is already apparent, a wider mix making for a clearer delivery of their pastiche of sounds.
