Sydney's The Laurels release long-awaited debut EP

Forming a rapidly growing following since their Sydney birth in 2006, shoegazing psych-rockers The Laurels are set to release their debut EP, Mesozoic.

Sydney noisemakers The Laurels may not have written any of their psych meanderings to disc in their few short years on the local gig circuit, but that certainly hasn't stopped the inner-west favourites forging a reputation. Drawing comparisons to anyone from Sonic Youth to the hazier latter-days of The Beatles, The Laurels have become a much-talked about act in spite of their recording silence.

On July 8th though, Sydney label Other Tongues will release The Laurels' highly anticipated debut EP, Mesozoic, before touring in Sydney and Melbourne in support of both the EP, and Texan psych-rockers The Black Angels.
