Tijana Cartel return to the East Coast

After selling out venues throughout Western Australia, Gold Coast’s Tijuana Cartel are set to zig-zag their way back to the familiar faces, roads and venues of the East Coast.

Catch Tijuana Cartel at a rare Sydney CBD show as special guests of the Dust Tones crew at Tone on Friday 25 March before they slide into The Gold Coast on Friday 1 April and pump up the volume at their home town stomping ground The SoundLounge in Currumbin.

Tijuana Cartel will then smash through venues at Bondi and Newcastle before they make their way back to Perth’s Margaret River to play the prestigious Margaret River Surf Pro event and finally back home and primed up for their army of fans at Byron Bay’s Beach Road Hotel on Friday 15 April.

Their new single ‘White Dove’ evidences a new sound that marries rockier grooves and electronica along with their trademark mix of sub-continent, funk, dub and world music. Produced by Chris Moore, who has worked with the Midnight Juggernauts, TV On The Radio and Yeah Yeah Yeahs, ‘White Dove’ hints at what you can expect from TIJUANA CARTEL’s new album due for release in the second half of 2011.
