Following sold out album launches across Australia and an extensive US tour, indie-folk troubadour Darren Hanlon has announced his first Australian tour since the release of his critically acclaimed 2010 release I Will Love You At All.

Catch Darren Hanlon at The Zoo in Brisbane on Saturday 26 February, Lismore City Bowling Club in Lismore on Sunday 27 February, Gallipoli Legions Club in Newcastle on Thursday 3 March, The Factory Theatre in Sydney on Friday 4 March, Fly By Night in Fremantle on Saturday 5 March, Jive in Adelaide on Wednesday 9 March, The Thornbury Theatre in Melbourne on Thursday 10 March and the Port Fairy Folk Festival on Friday 11 March.

To coincide with the tour, Darren will release Butterfly Bones, a digital EP available via iTunes from 18 February 2011. Lead track and live favourite ’Butterfly Bones’ is the third single taken from I Will Love You At All, and is a bouncy, mostly acoustic song about an easily broken girl. It’s an example of what Darren does best: weave together a narrative in his lyrics and creative instrumentation to form charming, catchy folk songs. Darren’s every-man voice and lovely lyrics are complimented by simple guitar, trumpets and violin.

Also featuring on the Butterfly Bones EP are brand new songs ‘Cloudy Mind’, ‘I Waited For the 17’, and a striped-back folk version of critics favourite ‘Scenes From a Separation’, featuring the delicate harmonies of Shelley Short (USA) and Alia Farah (USA).

2010 was a stellar year for Darren Hanlon. After releasing his fourth studio album I Will Love You At All on Flippin’ Yeah Industries in Australia and on seminal label Yep Roc is the US, Darren went on to sell out album launches across Australia before embarking on a three-month US tour, performing with the likes of Billy Bragg, Corin Tucker, Tim Kasher and Sean Lennon.

Don’t miss your chance to catch Darren Hanlon this February and March.
