Darren Hanlon has had a whirlwind year. With a critically acclaimed new album, 75 shows played around the world and some 20,000km travelled, he has earned himself a quiet Christmas. But as is the tradition for Hanlon, he will be sending out the year with some very special Christmas shows in an intimate solo setting.

Catch Darren Hanlon perform an all ages show at St Stephens Anglican Church in Sydney next Saturday 18 December, and at the Northcote Social Club in Melbourne next Sunday 19 December. Limited tickets are still available, however both shows are close to selling out so get in quick.

These intimate shows will be your chance to see Darren in solo mode and hear striped back versions of songs from his critically acclaimed album I Will Love You At All. Both shows will feature special guests joining Darren on stage.

Released locally on Flippin’ Yeah Records in August and on seminal US label Yep Rock in September, I Will Love You At All was written in a variety of exotic locations from Paris to Coonabarabran. The album was recorded at Type Foundry in Portland, Oregon by Adam Selzer (M Ward, She & Him, The Decemberists). Featuring Rachel Blumberg (Bright Eyes, M Ward, She & Him, The Decemberists) on drums – along with three additional drummers – the record also features long-time collaborator Cory Gray on keys and vocalists Shelley Short and Alia Farah. Darren’s most honest and understated work to date, I Will Love You At All is a charming Australian songbook of gentle longing and reminiscence.

Don’t miss your chance to catch Darren Hanlon in Sydney and Melbourne next week. After selling out album launches across the country earlier this year, these intimate shows will definitely sell out!
