Glenn Richards to launch solo record in Sydney, Melbourne and Adelaide

With the long awaited solo album by Augie March frontman Glenn Richards hitting shelves on October 29, he's announced a trifecta of album launch shows in Sydney, Melbourne and Adelaide.

Glenn Richards, the pen behind that gigantic 2006 Augie March album Moo, You Bloody Choir is finally set to release his anticipated solo debut Glimjack. Featuring Dan Luscombe, Chris Richards, Mike Noga and Ben Bourke, the album has been receiving glowing reviews ahead of its October 29 release date.

Our discussion with a self-effacing Augie March bassist Edmondo Amondella hinted at Richards' plans back in August 2009. "Glen for one has been wanting to make a solo record for a long time and I, as well as thousands of other people, are looking forward to hearing that without the constraints of the band." And now that chance has come. With the record on shelves shortly and three album launch shows in its support, it's a great chance to head out to catch one of Australia's most loved singer-songwriters in a format we haven't seen before.
