Australian bands rally behind asylum seekers

Its finally starting to warm up, and in the spirit of Spring its time to dust off your philanthropic side and flaunt your generosity to the sounds of some truly beautiful and unique collaborations at The Key of Sea album launch in support of the Asylum Seeker Resource Centre, as the Cat Empire, Vasco Era and Blue King Brown come together for a good cause.
Supported by The Human Rights Arts & Film Festival, this project has seen some of our brightest Australian talents collaborate with artists whose refugee and migrant backgrounds have helped to produce a series of beautiful, fun and occasionally heartbreaking songs. The resulting album provides a snapshot of Australian culture- a poignant, powerful and accessible tribute to Aussie culture, masquerading as gorgeous pop and rock music.
The Cat Empire alongside Ethiopian musician/composer Anbessa Gebrehiwot. Also performing on the night will be Blue King Brown with Afro-beat/hip-hop duo, Diafrix, and The Vasco Era with Iraqi artist Yousif Aziz.
Come along and witness this musical meeting of the minds at the Prince of Wales Bandroom on November 11th, and leave feeling just that little bit better about yourself and the country you live in!
