Grafton Primary kick off national tour this week
11 October 2010
Fresh from performing at the Nemcatacoa Festival in Bogota, Colombia, alongside Jamiroquai, Green Day and The Bravery, Grafton Primary will kick off their Australian single launch tour next week. Catch the band launch ‘The Eagle’ at The Oxford Arts Factory in Sydney on Saturday 16 October, with special guests Infusion.
29 October, Caringbah Bizzos in Caringbah on Saturday 30 October, Fowlers in Adelaide on Saturday 6 November, The Prince of Wales in Melbourne on Friday 12 November, and The Zoo in Brisbane on Friday 19 November. The band will also appear at Fat Is Butter in Newcastle on Saturday 23 October, and Open Arms Festival in Coffs Harbour on Saturday 20 November.
Grafton Primary’s Australian single launch tour follows a whirlwind tour of Colombia, where they are set to perform at Armando Records in Bogota this Thursday 7 October, and at the Nemcatacoa Festival in Bogota this Sunday 9 October.
2009 was a big year for brothers Benjamin and Joshua Garden. Their first EP Relativity and debut album EON created waves in the Australian sonic ocean, with single 'All Stars' added to national rotation on triple j and Nova. This lead to two sold out Australian tours, performances at Parklife, Stereosonic, Pyramid, Homebake and Falls festivals, and shows in London, Frankfurt and Bogota.
Grafton Primary has now begun working on their sophomore album, due for release next year. And our first taste is ‘The Eagle’, a riff-heavy, synthesized and soaring bird of prey with summer in its sights, currently on triple j rotation.
After a year of international touring to support their last album All Night Sun Light, Infusion is keen to get back on the road around Australia. Their infectious energetic live show never fails to deliver to a crowd hungry for their synth-laden four-to-the-floor beats and melodic hooks. Theses could be Infusion’s last Australian shows this year before the band head back into the studio.
Don’t miss Grafton Primary on tour this October and November, with special guests Infusion.
