Interpol announce Falls & Sunset Sounds sideshows
1 October 2010
Having been announced as headliner of Falls Festival, Sunset Sounds and Southbound this Summer, Handsome Tours are very pleased to announce that Interpol will be performing two exclusive sideshows in support of their highly-acclaimed, self-titled fourth record.
Returning to their roots, the band’s new album is being released independently and once again flawlessly delivers those dark atmospherics encapsulated on their debut album, ‘Turn Out The Bright Lights’. With the added benefit of years of experience, the result is a beautifully complex record that sees the band’s intricate guitar inter-play and Paul Banks' sombre baritone at its finest.
Despite losing enigmatic bass player Carlos Dengler upon completion of the record, Interpol solidified their live lineup with a little help from one David Pajo (Slint, Papa M) taking up four string duties, and Brendon Curtis (Secret Machines) filling in on keys. With such an arsenal of musicians, translation of the much-layered new album and past Interpol favourites is sure to be nothing short of pure sonic bliss.
