Henry Wagons, the enigmatic front-man of legendary Melbourne band Wagons, plays a rare solo show on Monday November 1 (Cup Eve) at the Northcote Social Club. On the one hand, Henry will be still in the aftermath of jetlag from his two months of touring in the US and UK, and, on the other hand, in the midst of hyper-active anticipation due to his band heading into the studio the following week to work on recording album #5.

Henry’s mammoth US jaunt sees him visit many states across North America, appearing with good friends Justin Townes Earle and Those Darlins among others, visiting 12 of America’s most famous musical cities playing an array of festivals and club shows. After his return home, the Summer will be busy for the band, thick with studio and festival commitments (including a rogue festival in Vietnam!), before preparing for the upcoming grand touring schedule surrounding the release of this much anticipated new Wagons album early in 2011.

Cup Eve with Henry Wagons promises to include previews of a number of new songs from the upcoming album, as well as some more well worn favourites, plus, there is little doubt that Henry won't be able to keep quiet about his still fresh northern hemisphere adventures.

Some familiar faces are sure to join Henry on stage, with special guests to be announced, so be sure not to miss it!
