Today, Washington has announced a fifth show at Melbourne’s Corner Hotel, with all four previous Corner Hotel shows on the I Believe You Liar Tour selling-out at lightning speed. The fifth show will take place on Tuesday 21st September and is set to break the all time ticket sales record for the legendary venue.

A spokesperson for the Melbourne venue had this to say: “This fifth Washington show is set to make history, breaking the record for the most tickets sold in a single tour rolling through the Corner. The Washington juggernaut surpasses the record previously held by Lisa Mitchell, Mick Thomas and The Hilltop Hoods in past years. Having already sold 3,000 tickets, it’s an amazing achievement off a debut record.”

With all capital city shows also selling-out on the Washington tour, an extra two Sydney shows have also been added and are on sale now.

Tickets for the fifth Corner Hotel show go on sale next Tuesday 31st August.

Washington’s debut album I Believe You Liar debuted at #3 on the ARIA album chart and is still in the top 5 three weeks after its release.  The album also reached #1 on the Australian iTunes chart.
