Clare Bowditch to support Leonard Cohen's Australian tour

Joining Leonard Cohen on his much-awaited return in November 2010 will be critically acclaimed songstress Clare Bowditch. Her fourth release Modern Day Addiction debuted earlier this month, landing sweetly in the ARIA Top 10 after first single ‘Bigger Than The Money’ dominated the airways with its catchy, cleverly crafted lyrics and irresistible pop refrains.

Clare Bowditch will be supporting the legendary songwriter in QLD, NSW, TAS, SA and at his first Melbourne show whilst Deborah Conway will be performing at the second Melbourne date.

The wonderful Clare Bowditch has thrilled audiences for over a decade, winning an ARIA for Best Female in 2006 and the title of Yen Magazine’s ‘Young Woman Of The Year (Music)’ for 2010.

The talented Deborah Conway will be supporting Leonard Cohen at his second Melbourne show on Saturday 13 November. Her new album Half Man Half Woman, with husband Willy Zygier, is out now and brings the total number of studio works by the indie diva to nine.

Leonard Cohen’s previous visit to Australia won the Helpmann Award for Best International Concert in 2009 and was testament to his reputation as one of the greatest performers around today. Leonard Cohen will be returning with his spectacular nine piece band and backing singers to put on a show that audiences will never forget.

Fantastic extra seats to the second Sydney show on Tuesday 9 November have been released and are currently available. Tickets to all shows are on sale now but music lovers and avid concert goers should act fast as it’s no secret that this is a tour not to be missed.
