Silversun Pickups have been flaunting their music across the United States, including recent appearances at Coachella and ACL Music Festival. The Los Angeles quartet will be performing a one night only, exclusive headline show on September 28th at The Corner Hotel in Melbourne.

They will be returning to our shores next month as Birds of Tokyo’s Special Guests and are also due to play Gosford’s Coaster Festival, however their headline show will be exclusive to Melbourne.

Silversun Pickups has been winning fans over with their enchanting breed of shoe-gazing indie rock, dreamy melodies and passionate refrains. The band’s 2006 breakthrough debut album, Carnavas, delivered popular indie hits “Lazy Eye” and “Well Thought Out Twinkles.” Their most recent offering, Swoon, features the muddy guitar fuzz and free flowing Eno-esque soundscape that Silversun Pickups has distinctively claimed and carved out as their own.

Silversun Pickups have garnered international attention with their individual musical style, opening for the likes of Wolfmother, Snow Patrol, Kaiser Chiefs, Placebo, Muse and Foo Fighters, receiving astounding reviews along the way:

‘One of the best things about Silversun Pickups as a live band is how tight they sound during even the most impromptu of bleeding-bass endings; their presence is felt ’til the very last second of the very last note.’ – NME

‘Musically, they are all very tight and show great proficiently.  Bassist Nikki Monninger plays some very driving bass lines and keeps the songs flowing, but the best part is when she sings, her soft sombre, backing vocals adding another dimension to front man Brian’s melodic tones.’ – Altsounds.com

This intimate headline show will be a real treat for Melbourne music fans and is an event not to be missed, be sure to get in early for this one!

Frontier Members presale commences 2pm AEST, Wednesday 25th August and closes 2pm AEST, Thursday 26 August. General public tickets on sale from 9am local time, Friday 27th August.
