Hitting Lorne, Victoria and Marion Bay in Tasmania over the New Year, the Falls Festival of Music & The Arts has just announced it's first line-up, featuring Interpol, Joan Jett and the National.

Coming out of the depths of winter are the announcements for this year's Summer festival season, featuring perhaps one of the most hyped bills of the year in that of the Falls Festival. This year, headliners will include legend of girl-rock herself Joan Jett, indie darlings The National, giants Interpol and one of hip-hop's most ifluential acts in Public Enemy.

Add to that locals like Tame Impala, Paul Kelly, The Beautiful Girls and The Living End and you've got one pretty full line-up.

Check out the complete line-up below and stay tuned to Soulshine for news, band interviews and further announcements.

INTERPOL (USA); JOAN JETT AND THE BLACKHEARTS (USA); THE NATIONAL (USA); THE LIVING END; PUBLIC ENEMY (USA); KLAXONS (UK); ANGUS AND JULIA STONE; TAME IMPALA; THE RAPTURE (USA); LADYHAWKE (NZ); COLD WAR KIDS (USA); SLEIGH BELLS (USA); PEACHES (USA); HOT HOT HEAT (CAN); PAUL KELLY; ASH GRUNWALD; CHILDREN COLLIDE; THE BEAUTIFUL GIRLS; THE SOFT PACK (USA); DAN SULTAN; THE MORNING BENDERS (USA); THE COOL KIDS (USA); JUNIP (SWE); KITTY, DAISY AND LEWIS (UK) THE MIDDLE EAST; CLOUD CONTROL; WASHINGTON; BOY AND BEAR; THE BAMBOOS; TIJUANA CARTEL; A-TRAK (CAN); EDAN THE DEE-JAY (USA) Vampire Weekend's CHRIS BAIO (USA); BEARDYMAN (UK); THE CUBAN BROTHERS (UK); DAARA J FAMILY (AFR); CHARLIE PARR; THE JEZABELS; BIG SCARY.

Update: Public Enemy are set to play their landmark album Fear of a Black Planet in full at Falls and Sunset Sounds slots for its 20th anniversary. Further, Peaches is set to perform a cabaret show during her set, which, really...isn't that much of a surprise.
