2010 Peats Ridge Line-Up Announced
9 August 2010
Existing as one of Greater Sydney's favourite remaining festivals, the annual (unless it floods) Peats Ridge Festival is back for 2010 with one of the most well-rounded line-ups imaginable. With names local and abroad immersing the first announcement, there's sure to be something there that rocks your boat.
Straight from the belly of Sydney's Central coast comes the line-up for 2010's Peats Ridge Festival. Sitting in Glenworth Valley amongst some of Australia's most stunning bushland, the festival is not only a sight for sore eyes, but with the announcement of this year's bill, a sound for sore ears.
With American indie favourites Built to Spill headlining alongside our own Angus & Julia Stone, the festival's bill kicks off with the big names before sprawling into a list of homeland favourites and international up-and-comers.
From Canadian indie/rock/folk chameleon Joel Plaskett to Soulshine favourite Steve Poltz, the internationals are well covered. Add to that the music of Arts & Crafts signee Dan Mangan, Australia's Megan Washington, Decoder Ring, The Audreys and 80's surf revivalists The Break and you have one hell of a line-up to begin the summer festival season.
This announcement comes as quite brave considering it jumps the gun ahead of Falls and Pyramid Rock, but considering its quality and with more to come, there's no doubt that Peats Ridge has got to be a consideration on your New Year's what-am-I-gonna-to-do list.
UPDATE: A handful of new acts have been added to the Peats Ridge line-up including Kyu, Love in the Circus (USA), The Hungary Kids of Hungary, The Dan Kelly Dream Band, Ernest Ellis, Cloud Control, Daniel Lee Kendall, Deep Sea Arcade and Jinja Safari. Check out the full, updated line-up below.
