Melbourne’s powerhouse the Public Opinion Afro Orchestra and Sydney’s own The Strides are playing an electrifying double bill at the Basement on Friday 28 May. The Public Opinion Afro Orchestra are Melbourne’s original Afrobeat Heavyweights, spicing it up with sizzling funk, hip hop and groovy roots in a 20 strong live line up. Sydney locals The Strides have been making waves around the country with their fresh Afrobeat-reggae sound and a “whole lot of soul.”
