Jeff Martin Tours Solo Through April and May

Following the success of his recent Australian tour with The Armada and exceptional performances at WOMADelaide and Canadian Music Week, JEFF MARTIN (formerly of The Tea Party) is set to embark on a national tour this April/May, bringing fellow Armada multi-instrumentalist J Cortez (ex-Sleepy Jackson) along for the ride.

Together, Jeff & J Cortez will perform the best of The Tea Party, plus an array of Jeff’s solo offerings and a few newly found treasures from The Armada. Fans will be reminded of what made The Tea Party so special… the blues, the mystique, the Indian and Middle Eastern influences - in a nutshell: the magic!

In addition to Martin’s elegant and powerful voice, his music has endeared itself to a rabid fan base on the strength of its rich palette of colour and sheer adventurous scope. This is an exceptional opportunity to see two international performers in an up close and personal setting.

If you’ve been wondering why you’re seeing a lot of Jeff Martin lately, there’s good reason; the Canadian has officially secured Australian citizenship (proving our beloved gypsy can’t be kept out!). Along with the touring, Jeff has also kept himself busy as Producer – recently working with one of our up and coming local bands; Melbourne’s rock/metal/gothic trio The Eternal.

Finally, scheduled for release later in the year will be the live CD/DVD set - filmed and recorded over two special nights in Sydney on The Armada’s November 2009 tour. Featuring an abundance of exquisite Middle Eastern instruments and an atmosphere that made you feel like you’d been transplanted in the middle of Morocco, The Armada’s shows were truly captivating and this CD/DVD set is a must for any diehard fan who was there on the night, or who sadly missed out!
