Unfortunately issues beyond the promoter’s control have made running the event in the way that they envisaged impossible, and have forced the inaugural The Lost Weekend to be moved to the picturesque Brisbane Riverstage and Botanical Gardens.

Having seen a need for a camping and music festival easily accessible to the music fans of Brisbane, the team behind Sounds Of Spring planned The Lost Weekend which was to be involve three days of camping and music situated less than an hour from Brisbane’s CBD.

The festival will no longer be a camping event and will now be held on Saturday March 6 and Sunday March 7, with the same diverse and exciting selection of international, interstate and local acts performing over three stages between 10am and 10pm on both days, still making it the perfect end to the festival season.

“We will continue to work with the venue and local authorities towards holding an event of the originally intended nature at Ivory’s Rock Conference Centre ¬– all parties have been keen to make The Lost Weekend work and we still believe we will achieve this in time,” the promoter stated. “But in the end we needed to make sure we could provide the best experience at the inaugural event for both patrons and artists alike.”

The new location will make it simpler for people to both purchase tickets and attend The Lost Weekend.

All current tickets are valid for the new venue.  All existing ticket holders be contacted by organisers The Lost Weekend shortly and be explained their options. Full refunds will be available.

As a result of moving to Brisbane Riverstage The Lost Weekend is now all ages event. Under 18s have limited access (full vision of all stages but not full run of the site).

As of Monday 7th February there are three types of tickets on sale for The Lost Weekend:
Two days ¬¬- $150 +booking fees
Saturday only - $100 +booking fees
Sunday only - $75 +booking fees.

All details including relevant dates and playing times can be found at www.thelostweekend.com.au

Tickets can be purchased from www.thelostweekend.com.au and the usual outlets.
