With another line-up announcement under its belt, Sydney's favourite festival the Playground Weekender is inches away from being up and running.

Playground has been a festival that a few of us around these parts have absolutely adored in all its entirety since its inception. It's a place where anything could happen and usually did, with an assortment of activites mingling with what has been voted the best  atmosphere at an Australian festival two years running. Last year was the first time we'd gone along on official Soulshine business and the words and photo's are up for all to see to your right in some toolbar somewhere. 09's Playground was responsible for one of the most fun festival day's a few of us had ever had and 2010 is sure to challenge that.

With a line-up featuring huge acts like the Polyphonic Spree, Brian Jonestown Massacre, Lupe Fiasco and the Cribs (joined by ex-Smiths guitarist Johnny Marr) as well as Soulshine favourites the Black Ryder and many, many more...there's really no excuse not to get yourself on down. The last few years have seen ping pong tables, giant jenga, croquet and other such games joining hands with an actual pub inside the festival and an all-day pool party.

Hosted at the Del Rio Resort two hours North of Sydney on the gorgeous Hawkesbury River, the setting is as good as the aural hi-jinx. I mean look at me, I sound like some kind of publicist and I have absolutely no stake in the thing whatsoever...I just want to party...and party we shall, at the fourth Playground Weekender.

See you there.
