Kaki King makes her return to Woodford Folk Festival in 2009, bringing her atmospheric experimental/indie sound to Australian shores yet again.

Having played most major Australian festivals, including the Adelaide International Guitar Festival, Bluesfest, WOMADelaide as well as Woodford in the past, Kaki King is yet again back on Australian shores, armed with her trademark Ovation acoustic guitar and a growing catalogue of songs that encompass a wide range of styles and genres, from low-key ambient instruments through to rock.

Based in New York but raised in Atlanta Georgia, the singer and consummate guitarist has been slogging away for several years with regular trips to Australia, Kaki King has been building a steady following that is sure to grow yet again with her next tour.

Owing to a packed tour schedule over the New Year period, Kaki King will be appearing only twice at Woodford in 2009, Monday 28th at 3pm and Tuesday 29th at 5:20pm. Both performances will be at The Grande.

There's simply too much to Kaki King to capture in just one song, so we've selected two for you to give a taste of the sort of variation you can expect from Kaki King's show:
