High and Dry Score BYO License (Plus Second Line-Up Announcement)

As Soulshine's feature festival for October and November, we keep an ear close to the ground for any news coming out of the High and Dry camp. So when a second artist announcement hit the information superhighway, we're there to report it...let alone BYO approval...

Set a couple of hours North of Sydney at the beautiful Camp Wollimi in St Albans, the High and Dry festival brings in Summer with a whole wealth of fantastic local acts. Run by a bunch of concerned citizens looking after our festival needs, it adds itself to the growing list of for-the-people/by-the-people festivals rearing their heads around the traps.

So, in order of importance, there are two very special announcements coming out of the people at High and Dry (not physically.)

1) High and Dry have secured permission to make the event BYO. That is, drag the dusty esky out of it's winter storage and bring it along to the festival with a case of beer contained therein.

2) A brand spankin' new announcement of artists has hit the web, with some very fine Australian acts making up the already formidable list of Sydney underground bands. That makes the full line-up appear as such:

Barons of Tang
Entropic
The Bakery
Combat Wombat
Rumpunch
Thundamentals
Crooked Fiddle Band
Brian Campeau
Juke Baritone
Extended Family
The Phonies
Mojo Juju
Tracy Redhead
The Snowdroppers
Western Synthetics
Melanie Horsnell
Yen
Svelt
Day of the Meerkat
Meem
Fuji Collective
Lanie Lane
Decorated Generals
Brackets
Slimey Things
Squid
Charlie and the Maddox Factory
Monk Fly
Hobo Bordeaux
Donne
Idea Idea
The Colours Tribute Band
Kira Puru
Emma Davis
Leroy Lee
Mr Bambles
Julez and Dragonfly
kyu
Void
Foreign Dub

More news, info, previews and guides will be posted on Soulshine in the month to come as Soulshine's feature festival, so be sure to check back for significantly more words.
