Innovative Blueprint Festival Kicks off the 09/10 Festival Season
12 August 2009
Festival's seem to be popping up in the Australian Summer calendar far beyond the rates of regular stick-shaking, so when a festival comes along with a fresh, pocket friendly approach, people listen; in fact, WE listen. As our feature festival for the next couple of months, Victoria's Blueprint Festival is something we think you should pencil in.
Okay, so imagine arriving at a festival having only payed $120 for entry, seeing a reformed Jebediah on the line-up, 90's legends the Fauves around somewhere too and drinking GOOD beer out of a vessel not made from aluminium.
Well, as of September 18th you're not going to have to imagine these things anymore. Tucked away in Victoria's North-East, Ararat will host the 2009 Blueprint Festival, a shindig delivered with the sole aim of stripping away the festival negatives and replacing it what everybody loves about a weekend in a tent.
The organisers of Blueprint have defined the following priorities for their festival:
- A well-rounded line-up
- Low prices on tickets, beer and food
- Quality grub and booze
- Shorter queues for toilets and entry
- Good, solid transport to and from the festival grounds
They've ensured these to be the case with the tasty line-up listed below this article, ticket prices are already looking phenomenal at $120 (food and beer to be advised,) and transport looks pretty breezy from Melbourne city.
It's a brilliant festival concept, and from the outset, looks like the makings of an absolutely brilliant festival experience. Keep tabs on Soulshine for news and updates as we feature Blueprint throughout August and September. Also be sure to check out their enthusiasm inducing official website at: http://www.blueprintfestival.com for ticketing info and more.
