Whitley will embark on a national solo tour before heading into the studios to record a followup to his acclaimed 2006 album 'The Submarines'

It has been six months since Whitley has ventured on a national headline tour... wait no longer as his January solo tour dates have just been announced!

Having toured the States for the second time this year (most recently in support of Ben Kweller), Whitley has not forgotten his loyal fans back at home.

The January solo tour will take in Sydney, Newcastle, Brisbane, Hobart, Ballarat, Melbourne, Adelaide and Perth, and will see Whitley perform much loved tracks from his debut album ‘The Submarine’, as well as road test new material.

In true Whitley style, the intimate venues will reach capacity in a heartbeat, so make sure you purchase your ticket early – don’t say we didn’t warn you!

This will be Whitley's last solo Australian tour before he begins recording the follow-up to ‘The Submarine’. The sophomore album is set for release sometime in 2009. Joining Whitley on tour as main support is Lisa Mitchell.
