Peats Ridge Festival CANCELLED

Festival organisers have announced that Peats Ridge 2007 has been cancelled due to high rainfall throughout the year and in recent weeks. The ground conditions have left the festival site unsafe for festival patrons.
Peats Ridge festival organisers made the following statement on the Peats Ridge website:
PEATS RIDGE FESTIVAL
CANCELLATION DUE TO EXTREME
WEATHER CONDITIONS
Mother Nature has made her call and as a sustainable Festival we have had to listen.
It is with the greatest regret that we have to announce the cancellation of this year's Peats Ridge Festival.
The highest December rainfall on record, coupled with six months of extremely wet weather has resulted in ground conditions that make it impossible for the Festival to proceed. Although the team has done everything in its power to deliver the Festival, at the end of the day the wellbeing of our patrons must come first. In the interests of public safety the organisers and venue owner have had to make this extremely difficult decision.
We want to thank everybody who has supported the Festival this year. All the ticket purchasers, families, staff, artists, performers, volunteers, suppliers, land owners and guardians, sponsors, local authorities and the many, many people who have put their heart and soul into creating what would have been the most amazing Peats Ridge Festival to date.
Even though this year's Festival is unable to proceed, we will be back brighter and better in 2008.
All tickets bought via credit card will automatically have the value of their ticket refunded back to their card. For all other refunds or ticketing queries please contact your point of purchase directly.
