The Red Paintings had a busy 2006, touring the globe with The Dresden Dolls and achieving their greatest success yet with the Destroy The Robots EP.
The band also undertook two in a trilogy of tours and return in 2007 for the final chapter; “ANIMAL REBELLION”. In conjunction with Vitamin Records, both the new EP “FEED THE WOLF” and their first DVD “SEIZURE & SYNAESTHESIA” will be released concurrently with the tour. Containing the clip for the new single, the DVD also features footage from throughout the last two years including live tracks from the tour trilogy and Dresden Dolls shows. The DVD also contains the amazing duets between The Red Paintings and The Dresden Dolls of “God Save the Queen” and “Mad World”. “ANIMAL REBELLION” will also reveal the important third piece of the tour trilogy which fans have been eagerly awaiting. In the world of The Red Paintings, the robots were defeated during the second tour with humans taking control of the earth. “ANIMAL REBELLION” describes the state of play as humans forget their place as creatures of the earth and are reminded of the need to remain humble and take care of the planet we live on. The realisation that they are part of the environment rather than the lords of the planet may come too late, which will directly lead fans to the album “The Revolution Is Never Coming” which is slated for release in both Australia and the US in 2008. “ANIMAL REBELLION” is the only Australian tour in 2007 The Red Paintings will undertake, so bring your friends to “FEED THE WOLF”.
