Two of Australia’s finest purveyors of caught-behind country and four-run folk are hitting the road together for the first time in a tour they have labelled ‘The Gentleman’s Game’. After Australia’s thumping of the English side in this summer’s Ashes Series, The Gin Club and Andrew Morris felt they should pad up and do their bit to honour the game of cricket.

Two of Australia’s finest purveyors of caught-behind country and four-run folk are hitting the road together for the first time in a tour they Catch The Gin Club and Andrew Morris when they play Sunday 25 February at the Great Northern Hotel in Byron Bay, supported by Tim Steward. Punters can then catch The Gin Club on Tuesday 27 February at the Plantation Hotel in Coffs Harbour, supported by Chris Brady.

2006 saw The Gin Club bowling audiences over on the back of its sophomore release Fear of the Sea and hit single ‘Drugflowers’, which received heavy rotation on triple j. Following last year’s appearance at Canadian Music Week, and shows with The Drones, Soundtrack of our Lives, Youth Group, Bluebottle Kiss, The Casanovas, Holly Throsby and The Kill Devil Hills, The Gin Club is hitting the road one more time before it bunkers down to record its third album, due for release in late 2007.

Andrew Morris has been busy of late delivering his latest album Valleys to audiences across the country with his single 'Let It Roll' receiving airplay on triple j and Nova. Along with his live band The Dry Bones, Morris has toured with some of Australia’s finest acts including Jen Cloher, Clare Bowditch, Bob Evans and Mia Dyson, and performed at Splendour in the Grass.
