”Main Street” is the latest installment from the boys of Ballarat that make up Epicure. And fans wont be disappointed. Once again we are treated with a standout album from these guys, with the same telltale Epicure sound fans have to come to know and love.
The haunting vocals of lead singer Juan Alban is back along with the collaboration with a number guest artists including Love Outside Andromeda’s Sianna Lee. Epicure have used many layers of sound in this album. The addition of a string section on a number of the tracks is new to the guys, and works extremely well.
Standouts include the first single off the album “Tightrope Walker”, Down in Flames and the gorgeous tunes of Lyla’s Kisses. The mood of the new album is more emotional than the last two releases from the band, with a number of songs dealing with personal issues. Yet there is a warmth and sense of completion with “Main Street”. It lends to an impression of maturity and growth as a group and with a clear progression from they days of “Armies Against Me”.
The new album definitely works. With the combination of new fresh material from this much loved Australian band blended with the recognisable and original sound fans are familiar with, “Main Street” is destined to impress this summer.
Epicure's Brand New Album "Main Street" is on sale now.
